Maths Competitive Examinations
Mathematics Education, Thane is conducting maths competitive exam for
small children of std. V to std VIII. The Institute is conducting such
exams since last 32 years, keeping objective in mind, that student should
remove phobia of maths exam; and he should be motivated for the deep study
of the subject maths. All over India we are conducting only two
tests of different levels in two groups; so that talented and gifted
students can be selected and will be persued to take part in IMO
(International Maths Olympiad) to be held in std. XI/ Std XII by Govt. of
It has been suggested by the past students participated in IMO only, that
like other countries we should also prepare and motivate the school
children from the childhood only, so to encourage them we have organized
only two exams in the whole academic year. Maths Teacher of your school is
aware of these Tests. MAT is the first test we conduct in the month
of August and JMO is the Second competitive and the final exam
generally to be held in the month of February. These contests lead to the
search of Talented students; of all over India preparing for pre RMO, INMO
and at last IMO. This clarifies that JMO is the preparatory exam for pre-RMO
conducted by BARC Mumbai. It also helps to develop logic of the students,
enhances various competencies and gives them confidence for all type of
entrance exams in future.
